The Dainese Torque D1 are Dainese's most sporty boots after the track specialised Axial Pro model. Thus, the Torque D1 boots offer a great balance between freedom of movement and protection, thanks both to the materials used for its construction and its studied protection system.
The Dainese Torque D1 boots combine two outer materials: microfiber and D-Stone fabric, both materials very resistant to abrasion and offering high levels of flexibility. This balance between flexibility and security is achieved, on the one hand, thanks to Axial Distortion Control System, which allows certain movements of the foot, as well as adequate protection; and moreover, the flexible areas of the boot, as the accordeon pannel found in the instep area.

Complete external TPU protectiors reinforces the instep area as magnesium inserts on the rear and lateral zone plus the toebox slider; by the way: the slider is replaceable thanks to an Allen wrench included with the boots.
Another highlight of these boots is the ventilation system. With air intakes strategically located in the instep area of the boot as well as on the outer side of the shaft's protector, the air vents all our foot and leg zones. Hot air is evacuated trough an air extractor located in the outer ankle area.

Fasteners and adjustments
The main closure of the boot is entrusted to a rear zipper system. In addition, the boot has two Velcro flaps that help to perfectly fit the boot to our calf. In the upper area of the shaft we found a soft touch material that allows proper isolation of the leg.

On the inside of the boot, the Dainese Torque have a non-removable inner boot, made up of different fabrics that ensure adequate protection and foot perspiration. The booty ends just above the ankle on the sides, while elongates in the instep area and Achilles tendon, providing comprehensive protection in all areas without sacrificing the freedom of movement. The inner boot has a lace locking system called Speed Lacing System, which allows easy and comfortable fit of the inner boot.

Sole and details
As for the sole, it has been designed by D-TEC, the engineering department of Dainese, and incorporates a rubber compound for optimal grip on the footrest, even in wet. It has two heights and the sole is superimposed on the heel and side areas of the boot for increased rigidity.

TPU inserts in both heel sides allow greater grip and feel of the boot on bike at all times.
In short, these boots are full of details in order to offer a product designed for track and for short road trips. His great asset is the balance it offers between protection and freedom of movement. Daineses commercilize Torque D1 model sold in 'Out' version (this shown here) but also with the 'In' version, which would go inside the Dainese leather suit.
